Expert SAN, STORAGE & BACKUP

Ideal candidate:

• Solid experience with remote Storage and Backup operation in an on-premises data center. Any knowledge about Azure and or cloud is a benefit but not require.
• Good knowledge of backup/restore technology and disaster recovery processes
• Knowledge of Commvault preferred.
• Expertise in general Operating System operation, Windows, Linux, etc. for physical and virtual workloads.
• Configure and manage Brocade/Cisco SAN switches.
• Experience working with large enterprise environments and governance models is an asset.

job main tasks:

• Manage Storage and Backup platforms in data centers and cloud.
• Storage and Backup infrastructure (Storage appliances, SAN switches, VTL, Backup appliance, Agents, tools) upgrades hardware, firmware or software.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises, design and maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting of Storage, SAN, and Backup issues.
• Work with Vendor and Customer during the hardware and performance issues.
• Recommend permanent and temporary solutions and the next course of action to resolve problems and issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document RCA-based corrective action.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to installation, administration, maintanance, processes, and resolutions.
